Montrose Lights
is proud to support the
Ronald McDonald House of Southern WV
The Ronald McDonald House is open to all families regardless of financial status or ability to pay. The House is available for overnight stay, a short nap or rest, or a shower during a day visit. The Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia serves guests/patients of all area hospitals.
Guests are asked to pay a nominal donation to offset operating costs. The fee is often reduced or waived; no one is turned away because of their inability to pay.
The majority of operating funds, however, come from the generosity of others. Approximately 70% of the funds necessary to operate the Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia are provided through the contributions of foundations, corporations, and individuals in our community. Through the continued support of our "Very Important Friends," we are able to serve over 400 families every year.
To date, more than 10 million families with sick children have called a Ronald McDonald House a “home-away-from-home,” saving them over $120 million in housing and meal costs.
Montrose Lights donations that are being raised will go towards off setting the cost of each night that a family stays at Ronald McDonald House. It cost Ronald McDonald House approximately $90.00 a night to operate a room and only ask for a $10.00 fee from the families or they waive it all together. Ronald McDonald House does not turn anyone away due to financial reasons.
$2000.00 will pay for a room for approximately 30 days. So you can see how much money it takes to run the Ronald McDonald House. So please find it in your heart to donate, any amount will help.
